Our Preschool, Our Families, Our Communities

Head Start is a Federal and State-funded preschool program focusing on School Readiness for 3-5 year old children living in Jefferson County and Western Kenosha Counties.  Head Start is a Federal and State funded program provided at no cost to eligible families.  Our classrooms have DPI licensed teachers and we also partner with local school districts.

The goal of our Head Start program is to bring about a greater degree of social competence in young children. This means adequately preparing them for success in school and in life. In addition, our program assists parents in their important role as the primary educator of their child, which includes working with them to improve their life’s situation. It is our mission to ensure that all children leave our program ready to begin their school experience with the skills they need to succeed in Kindergarten and beyond. Our Head Start provides the child and their family with comprehensive services to include: Education services, parent involvement in all areas of the program, Kindergarten Readiness, Nutrition Services and Education, Medical and Health Education, Dental Services and Education, and Mental Health Services.
